Tämä hirsirakenteinen kartano Asikkalassa sulattaa sydämen. Päärakennus on alunperin vuodelta 1842. Tässä rakennuksessa vanha kohtaa uuden. Esille jätetyt hirret, iso varaava takka, upea lakattu lautalattia. Tapetit, yksityiskohdat, pihapiiri. Ah! Tänne muuttaisin, jos voisin.

I'm not sure what I love most about this house. Is it the beams, the wood-fired stove, the fireplace or the interior? Everything? I could see myself having tea and cake at the white table or read a book on the leather couch. The wooden house was built in 1842 and is located in Asikkala. It has been refurbished but it has maintained old features such as the wood-fired stove and fireplace. I love how the current owners have managed to create a perfect mix of new and old. And the rooms are so spacious and light. I guess the answer to the question of what I love most about this house is "everything".

Miss My's Dream Homes: A Delightful Danish Dream

When I was pregnant with Isabella we drove from Finland to Holland. I remember driving through Denmark thinking that I could live there as Denmark is just so pretty. If I ever were to move to Denmark I would like to live in this delightful Danish dream home which caught my eye on keltainentalorannalla.

The wooden house was built in 1928 and has everything I love. It has beamtiful beams, a stunning fire place, plenty of light and the perfect mix of white and wood and old and new. And have I mentioned the gorgeous gorgeous yard? Have a look.

Miss My's Dream Homes: Turku from the Top

On Facebook I saw an apartment being advertised via 'Etuovi'. The apartment is located on top of a hill and has stunning views of the centre of Turku. Usually it's quite easy for me to tell which room is my favourite but not with this apartment. I love the beams, the windows, the fireplace separating the living room and kitchen and the quirky, uneven ceilings. And the sauna is absolutely beautiful. Not to mention the view from the bedroom. Oh, and have I mentioned the jacuzzi? Have a look.

We Heart Beams.

Miss Mo has said it before: we love beams. Beams make any room feel cosy, warm and homely. Especially combined with a fire place. I'm a big fan of dark wooden beams with light (usually white) sofas and dark wooden furniture. That combination just works for me. Although it mainly works for people who have no kids, no dogs and who leave their shoes in the hall way. Unfortunately, my beamy dream house went out the window after Isabella was born. But it doesn't hurt to look at pictures, am I right?
